We have made arrangements with additional nearby hotels to accommodate the strong demand. Contact the Holiday Inn Neenah Riverwalk (800-725-6348, www.hineenah.com), Comfort Suites-Appleton (800-424-6423 www.wiscohotels.com), Best Western-Appleton (800-482-3879 www.midwayhotels.com/appleton), or LaQuinta Inn & Suites-Appleton (920-734-7777 www.lq.com).
If you have not ordered meal tickets or reserved your hotel room for the 50th anniversary celebration, you are highly encouraged to do so immediately. Congressman Ron Paul (TX) has graciously accepted our invitation to be the keynote speaker. At the time of this writing, the hotel where the festivities are taking place is now sold out, and our staff is starting to get creative in adjusting the Council Dinner room layout to accommodate more people.
Congressman Paul will speak at the Council Dinner on Saturday, October 4, followed by Art Thompson.
We have a huge lineup of speakers for the educational portion of our celebration on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, including:
Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America
Oklahoma State Senator Randy Brogdon
Arizona State Senator Karen Johnson
Utah State Representative Stephen Sandstrom
Dr. Steven Bonta of Penn State University
Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson of BOND, Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny
Hid Welch, son of founder Robert Welch
Reverend Steven Craft of Christian Citizenship Ministries
Plus many more speakers, both fellow Birchers and staff members.
Each speaker will be giving their presentation at least twice, so attendees have a better chance to attend the educational sessions of their choice. Please keep in mind that sessions are on a first come, first serve basis. There are no reservations. Once the room is full, it will be closed, and attendees will need to seek other available sessions.
Each session, whether it is a workshop, panel discussion or speech, will be 45 minutes long, followed by a 15 minute break. All sessions will start at the top of each hour.
To accommodate the large crowd, multiple sessions will be continuously occurring in separate meeting rooms throughout the day. Attendees can choose to attend one of the three sessions. Again, the sessions will be repeated to give ample opportunity to attend. We are currently assembling an event booklet which will have detailed descriptions of the sessions as well as a schedule of events.
Tickets are being sold for each of the meals. The first meal is on Friday for the Italian Lunch Buffet. Tickets are $15.00. The Friday Dinner Fish Boil is $25.00 and promises to be a spectacular event with an outdoor boil-over planned over an open fire. Bring your cameras if you haven’t experienced this timeless Wisconsin tradition. On Saturday, there will be a Hot Sandwich Lunch Buffet for $15.00, and the Council Dinner that evening is $65.00 per person. Order all 4 meal tickets before May 31st and receive an early bird discount, saving $20.00. Call 920-749-3780 or order online.
It’s an honor to have such great company to be speaking to us for the 50th and it will be even more special to have you there. Please join us!. See you in Appleton!
