Proper Use of the U.S. Military

With the presence of US forces in the Middle East, occupying Afghanistan and Iraq, bombing over Libya, and the escalation of additional conflicts around the world beckoning American action, the question looms over whether this is the proper use of America's courageous fighting men and women. Is the purpose of the nation's military to unconstitutional go to war, preemptively invade foreign countries and make the world safe for democracy, or did the Founding Fathers have another vision for our armed forces?
