Don't raise taxes during a recession PDF Print E-mail

I sent the following e-mail to Arizona State Senator John Nelson urging him to hold the line on tax hikes:

Dear Senator Nelson:

I strongly oppose any tax increases during this recession.  If anything, the legislature should be cutting taxes in order to stimulate the economy and attract new businesses to our state.

There is no Utopia.  It is long past time for the Arizona legislature to start living within its means.  I know it is difficult to have various interest groups chanting outside the state capitol, but unless they have an idea of how to fund their pet projects, they are just going to have to wait until times get better.  Please let me know where you stand on the subject of tax increases.

Sincerely,

John Lyon
