I found a great editorial on Senator Jon Kyl's web page.  It is headlined, "Celebrating the Fourth of July."  Here is the link:

I encourage everyone to take a couple of minutes to read Kyl's fine, patriotic message.  It could have come from the pages of _The New American_.  Here is an exerpt:

"...But for people in other countries, the government existed first, and rights flowed from the government. Our government is a reflection of the people; it is a government from the bottom up. Our basic rights do not come from the state. They are inherent in us..."

Right 0n, Senator!  It makes you want to believe that his heart is in the right place.
