As is also noted in the article- and I think this a good observation on the author's part-"evangelicalism" has indeed become another corrupt form of politicking whose combatants fight bravely but foolishly at the table of power for scraps (which is what they often get as their values continue to be betrayed over and over). In that vein Rick Warren is (in my opinion) not a real Christian pastor, but a man set up by the elite of this nation to mislead Christians through false biblical doctrine made palitable through long-term reorientation away from the basic the doctrines of the faith. He has, in the past, supported homosexuality, abortion, foreign aid, interventionism, and other doctrines (in the name of tolerance naturally) that most Christians- especially and including Fundamentalists- would reject outright.
