If you recall the movie Saving Private Ryan, Tom Hanks' portrayal of this wounded soldier shooting his side pistol at an armored tank approaching him on the bridge. Even though there wasn't a chance he could overtake this obstacle, he continued with his final efforts to overcome something bigger than himself. But help did arrive and the tank was destroyed.
