Only in San Francisco, and hopefully no where else, would a class of 1st graders go on a field trip to greet their teacher as she and her same-sex partner exited City Hall, after exchanging “wedding vows.”
Somehow, the interim director of the Creative Arts Charter School, Liz Jaroslow, justified the field trip as falling under the academic umbrella, saying, "It really is what we call a teachable moment."
But what in the name of the Lord are we teaching these impressionable and once-innocent children?
This field trip served as nothing more than sheer promotion of the homosexual agenda through the indoctrination using “tolerance,” as the modus operandi via a publicity stunt. It is a none-to-subtle attempt to change the morals and values of these children by imposing one minority group’s immorality upon the majority. It is about the treatment of the homosexual lifestyle with special rights, as certainly the children would never have been ushered to a traditional wedding during school hours. It is exploitation.
And of course, these poor children, who did indeed have their parents’ permission -- difficult to understand just WHAT they were thinking, perhaps peer pressured into it by homosexual parents? -- were all caught up in the rose petal tossing and the bubble blowing, truly making it a day to remember.
Tax-payer funded charter schools have had the reputation of being a bit more conservative in their approach to education, but this is certainly an example of just the opposite.
The San Francisco Chronicle’s story had bizarre verbiage, also intended to promote the agenda of the day: “just-married teacher Erin Carder and her wife Kerri McCoy...,” and the detail of one of the first graders who has two “mothers” that are getting married in two weeks, as well.
By definition, one cannot have two real mothers, nor can there be two wives in a marriage. But the PC wording will probably be the least of our problems in the future, as soon one will not be able to have one’s children opt out of such a perverted indoctrination session.
The California Education Code permits school districts to offer comprehensive sex education. They are supposed to "teach respect for marriage and committed relationships," and of course, committed relationships includes same-sex partnerships.
