Veterans Day - 2009
To all those who have served (or are still serving) -
We thank you
To the families of those who gave their lives in service to this great nation -
We offer our sincere condolences
And give great thanks
Many of us who have served may feel our service was abused and misused by the powers that be, but make no mistake,
We defended freedom
We defended the Constitution
We served willingly
We served proudly
We served honorably
We served gratefully
You may not support all the wars in which we have been engaged, or the perpetrators of these illegal wars, but please support the soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen to whom we owe our liberties.
