A few other things old timers think about:
Why do people park on driveways and drive on parkways?
Why do we have hot water heaters? Why does hot water need to be heated?
Why do "fat chance" and "slim chance" mean the same thing?
Why would anyone get on a non-stop flight? How would you get off?
Isn't a "near miss" actually a hit?
How can one put on his shoes and socks? Shouldn't the socks be put on first?
Eagles may soar, free and proud, but weasels never get sucked into jet engines.
Never ascribe to malice that which can adequately be explained by stupidity.
Isn't something which is "behind your back" actually in front of you?
