I recently rented a dvd called Hacking Democracy. I have not yet left my review of it from the rental netflix but I do plan on it when I do reviews.

I do want to give a review and rundown of it here.

I suggest you rent it yourself and draw your own conclusion, just as I think you should on everything, never be force-fed information.

As the documentary went on, I noticed how much effort the lady put into her Hacking Democracy documentary to show how the votes were never counted in the Bush/Kerry election. There was never any doubt to me that they were not counted correctly and it was a fixed election because they needed the plan of 911 to pan out, and the only way to do that was to have the next Bush in office so I do believe most of what was in the film.

What really annoyed me was the fact that this woman did all this work to PROVE the computers had been hacked, and the evidence was thrown away. She picked the garbage and found the signed tickets that were never counted, and proved how the computer (and I know some programming so I know it can be done) was actually counting several thousand votes backward rather than forward. So nobody stood a chance in that election.
What annoyed me even MORESO, was the fact that the lady, after much work (a white woman) said she was married to an African American (I suppose he was from Africa, just as I am from Germany) in any matter, she said that he'd stated that her fight should go on, because his people had fought for so long to have the right to vote but it never, not once showed HIM standing by her side, helping her find these lost votes or proving her point. So she married someone who obviously didn't want to do the fighting to learn for himself and she did it for him. In my opinion he shouldn't of even had the right to vote if he couldn't help his wife fight the voting counts. To me, that was a racial slam to the number of black Americans who did fight for the right to vote.
While I found it interesting, I also found that twisted, in the fact he was nowhere to be found in Hacking Democracy. It makes me wonder, who really does have the rights to vote and who doesn't.
While I may get slammed for this as well, I don't believe that anybody should have the right to vote unless you can pass both a literary and political test, and knowledge of how the system and electorial college works. Easiest of questions on that test should just be to name the branches of government. I'm amazed at how many people my own age don't know the answer to that question and it's frightening to think, these people VOTE.

Hacking Democracy. Try to view it if you possibly can. Draw your own conclusion.
