While pretending to have achieved some kind of victory in Afghanistan, President Obama and the NATO leaders have pushed ahead on the globalist agenda to transform NATO more fully into the global military arm of the United Nations. According to President Obama and the other NATO leaders, NATO “combat troops” will have left Afghanistan by the end of 2014. Which means that they intend to keep NATO forces (primarily U.S. forces) fighting in Afghanistan for another two-and-a-half years. And after 2014, an unspecified number of NATO/US forces will remain for “training” purposes for an indefinite period.
Democrats have been having a field day with the cry of "tax cuts for the rich" — for which Republicans seem to have no reply. This is especially surprising, because Democrats made the same arguments back in the 1920s, and the Republicans then not only had a reply, but one that eventually carried the day, when the top tax rate was brought down from 73 percent to 24 percent.
The Supreme Court has agreed to hear an appeal by the Obama administration of an appeals court decision granting standing to the ACLU to challenge the NSA's domestic wiretapping program.
After extended legal wrangling, Alabama's revised anti-illegal immigration statute, H. B. 658, was finally signed into law by Governor Robert Bentley.  Two days into a special session of the Alabama state legislature called by Governor Robert Bentley, the Governor failed to find a friendly lawmaker who would introduce his proposed amendments to the state’s immigration law.
While GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney handily won Tuesday’s Kentucky and Arkansas primaries, voters in the two states mounted a heavy revolt against President Obama, as Democratic contenders garnered a sizable block of votes. Moreover, discontent with Obama’s first term is so intensive that voters in West Virginia delivered a prison inmate in Texas over 40 percent of the state’s Democratic primary vote.
Three top Obama administration officials told a Senate committee that the United States must ratify the Law of the Sea Treaty now.
The latest report from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released on Tuesday said that if the country falls off the “fiscal cliff” — variously also called “taxmageddon” — it will likely enter a new recession.
President Obama has expressed his opposition to a Republican-authored amendment in the House defense authorization bill that would protect the conscience rights of chaplains who do not want to perform “marriage” ceremonies for homosexual military personnel. Written in part by U.S Representative Todd Akin (R-Mo.), Section 536 of the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act stipulates that no member of the armed forces may “direct, order, or require a chaplain to perform any duty, rite, ritual, ceremony, service, or function that is contrary to the conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs of the chaplain, or contrary to the moral principles and religious beliefs of the endorsing faith group of the chaplain.”
With the publication in 2007 of Antony Flew’s momentous book,There is a God: How the World’s Most Notorious Atheist Changed His Mind, the debate among scientists on the issue of the existence or nonexistence of God reached a new level of excitement. The fact that Flew became a theist has added a great deal of support to the belief that the universe is governed by an Intelligent Design, and that with such design there must be a designer: God.
Our Founding Fathers knew that there is an inextricable link between liberty and virtue; however, many conservatives today are unwittingly helping liberals define deviancy downward by their use and acceptance of profane and vulgar language.
