Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul will be headlining the list of speakers for The John Birch Society 50th Anniversary Celebration to be held October 2-5, 2008 in Appleton. He will be speaking on Saturday evening, October 4, during the Council Dinner event.

He is also scheduled to sign his books from 2 to 4 pm that same day.

In a recent statement, Congressman Paul congratulated the Society on being "a great patriotic organization," and endorsed the work of the Society.

Dr. Paul stated: “The John Birch Society is a great patriotic organization featuring an educational program solidly based on constitutional principles. I congratulate the Society in this, its 50th year. I wish them continued success and endorse their untiring efforts to foster ‘less government, more responsibility … and with God’s help … a better world.’

It’s hard to believe that the 50th Anniversary Celebration is less than a month away.  We are diligently working out the final details and making those last-minute decisions to help create a memorable and educational experience for all members and non-members in attendance.

Tickets for the evening events on Friday and Saturday have long been sold out, however we still have overflow tickets available.  Overflow tickets would get you a seat in a room across the hall from the main event, and you would be able to view the event live on a large screen monitor while also enjoying the meal.  The largest events are on these days as well, including Chuck Baldwin's presentation on Friday night and the historic Council Dinner occurring on Saturday night. 

John McManus will host the Council Dinner and introduce Hid Welch, Ron Paul and Arthur Thompson.  If you’d like a chance to meet Ron Paul, he will be signing books from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday afternoon.  Bring your own book or purchase them on site.
