Financial Apocalypse Just "Days or Weeks" Away?

Last week Fortis, in a heavily discounted share issue, raised $2.4 billion in what the company acknowledged were "exceptional measures." The Belgium-Dutch financial services firm, accourding to Reuters, found itself in trouble as a result of "fallout from the U.S. subprime crisis and credit crunch."

According to Fortis, however, there is much worse to come. The Telegraph, a Dutch-language paper in Amsterdam, reported on Sunday: "Fortis expects within the next few days to weeks ... complete the collapse of the U.S. financial markets."

Maurice Lippens, chairman of Fortis, emphasized the scale of the devastation he thinks is likely. "We are ready at the last minute. It goes in the United States much worse than thought," Lippens said.

According to the Telegraph report, "Fortis expects bankruptcies of 6000 U.S. banks that now lack coverage." The report warned that even industry titans like Citigroup and General Motors are vulnerable.

For those who can't read Dutch, the Google translated version of the report is here.

Those who can read Dutch may prefer the untranslated version available here.

Somehow I've been thinking that with the sad state that our economy is in, which we can blame our elected officials in Washington for, that this will give the Washington Insiders a very good reason to formally announce their plans for the NAU merger. They will try to sell it to the uninformed, unenlightened American public that with this merger between the U.S., Canada and Mexico, that if we can combine our efforts and work together we will be able to rescue the ailing U.S. economy and get it back on track. What they won't say is that their ultimate goal is not the saving of our economy, but the merger of the three countries governments into one. Their plan all along. This is how I see it.The Insiders have been working towards this for a long, long time and it seems to me like they have it in fast forward right now. They, the Insiders may realize their goal of a one-world-government, if it hasn't been realized already. But, the day is coming for every individual here on earth, including the Insiders, that when they individually pass from this life to the next and they stand naked before their Maker and they are going to have to explain to Him why they thought they were "gods" on earth and that they thought that their "plan" was better than God's plan for mankind, and that God hates all liars and that there is no room for liars in Heaven, then they will realize Who ultimately will have the final say and how they will spend the rest of eternity. Their brief moment of a life with all their "accomplishments" is just a blink of an eye compared to the eternal damnation they will be facing. Because they have totally erased God from their minds and possibly believe themselves more powerful than God and have no fear of God in them, their condemnation will be well deserved.

Well spoken James. You are right on target! It is so sad that these one world architects cannot seem to learn from history.

The S&L court cases of the 1980s and 1990s have not hit yet.
the end will be like Alantis
The four horsemen..
1). A property transfer to God by legal act (results in a picture of a thief as one seen in Bible times).
2). Civil war in revenge and extreme rage over the loss.
3). Invasion by the UN when were in a weaken state. luxuary goes to the top the rest get peanuts.
4). Massive death due to illness etc.
the 5th seal in the bible is a picture of the dead from this
the 6th seal is the earth forced off its axis by God.
then on with the plagues. If you read Platos account it is about the same. The USA will never even make it to world Gov.

The Federal Reserve, major Wall Street banks, Treasury Department and Congress are all responsible for this financial meltdown. It has been well-planned and purposefully orchestrated. Total collapse of the U.S. economy will lead to global financial meltdown which I believe is their goal. Remember the Hegelian Dialectic? Global financial crisis will result in a world-wide cry for "help," and the same New World Order kingpins who created this mess will be only too happy to step in with a "One World Currency," and "One World Government" to "rescue" us all.

God doesn't take a stand on earthly issues. That's why He didn't stop all the atrocities mankind has brought on itself. That why He gave us free will.

I for one derive no comfort that maybe the fascists running this country will have to explain themselves to God. If that's your solution to the problem, "Leave it to God," then you have already stepped forward to be executed, so you can go to Heaven. A cowardly position if ever there was one.

knowing that another soul runs the risk of eternal damnation doesn't give me much solace about the current situation.

we need to pray for all!
