Pat Robertson and Rudy Giuliani

My parents, pastor, and school teachers always said that the destruction of America would not be the result of a military attack, but instead would come from within. Pat Robertson's recent endorsement of ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani's candidacy indicates that Christians who used to operate under Godly, moral principles are now accepting the principles of the culture of death raging around us, a culture war that could bring about the destruction of America as we know it.

Robertson has talked about defending America from the physical threat from al-Qaeda terrorists. While they can instigate some very real attacks resulting in death and destruction, the culture war that is being waged in America by Hollywood, the major media, and big name politicians who embrace the death culture is just as dangerous. For Pat Robertson to endorse an individual who champions the murder of the unborn, daring to ask for my vote in his bid to occupy the White House where Adams and Jefferson walked is an outrage!

Robertson's endorsement is particularly strange given that his own organization has questioned Giuliani's support of both gay rights and abortion. Commenting in May on Giuliani's position on both of those issues, CBN News Senior National Correspondent David Brody asked: "Giuliani wants to change the conversation desperately but what trick does he have up his sleeve that will get him out from under all of this?" The trick, we now know, was in getting a Robertson endorsement.

We should have seen something like this coming from Robertson. Ben Kinchlow, co-host of the 700 Club, once had an exchange with him on the air during the news portion of the 700 club about NAFTA. NAFTA (which was making its way through the Congress at the time) was hot news in some quarters and Robertson was giving his commentary on the matter. Kinchlow looked at Robertson with astonishment when Robertson spoke favorably about this sovereignty-destroying "trade" pact.

That was the moment that Pat Robertson showed his true colors. Now, his endorsement of the "hero of 9/11" and "America's Mayor" confirms his position as an Establishment insider, willing to promote the agenda of the powers that be, even if it means compromising his Christian principles.
