Freedom is popular. A sell-out crowd of nearly 600 people came out for a speech by Dr. Ron Paul at his alma mater on May 2nd.

During the 80 minute event, the excerpt from the JBS documentary Overview of America, congressional candidate BJ Lawson and Ron Paul all spoke to the importance of understanding that we enjoy freedom in our country, not because we are a democracy, but because we are a republic under the rule of law and our unique U.S. Constitution.

As noted in the opening remarks of the video, the evening's educational experience, including the debut of Overview of America to a major college university audience, was made possible through the persistence and organizational efforts of Roxane Premont, volunteer chapter leader of the John Birch Society.

Roxane Premont introduced the Overview excerpt and BJ Lawson followed it up. Both encouraged audience members to watch Overview of America in its entirety. Over 200 copies of the film were provided to people requesting complimentary DVDs at the end of the event. If you don't have yours yet, order some here, then get to work on having this film premier at local schools and colleges in your community. Don't leave the playing field only to the non-scientists of Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth. You've got a whole summer vacation to prepare over. To help you out, here is a review of Overview of America by a person with some academic muscle. To watch Overview of America on-line, visit the JBS Youtube channel.
