From the East: by Hal Shurtleff, Regional Field Director April has been a very busy month for JBS members in the East. Members from around the region attended Tax Day Tea Parties distributing thousands of copies of the "Crisis of Dollars and Sense" reprint by Edwin Viera and the Dollars and $ense DVD. On April 19, The Committees of Safety sponsored a rally on Lexington Battle Green in Lexington, Mass., to honor the Minutemen and to pledge to each other that their sacrifices were not in vain. Over 400 patriots from around the region and the U.S. were on hand. Approximately 15 JBSers were on hand to distribute DVDs and reprints of Ed Viera's article. Mr. Viera was scheduled to speak but had to cancel at the last minute. And to top off a busy month, JBSers participated in the End the Fed Rallies in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Richmond, and other cities. All this activity led to new members, hundreds of leads and referrals and thousands of attendees gaining an appreciation for what the JBS has to offer, a better understanding of the problem , and the solution. The Greater Albany, New York, members led by Ed and Diane Clements hosted a speaking engagement for Dr. Katherine Albrecht, an author and expert on the subject of RFID tags (colloquially known as "spychips"). This speech attracted over 500 attendees and members will be busy during the moths ahead following up on the hundreds of new leads. Think Birch. There will be literally hundreds of Tea Party type rallies over the next few months. JBS members should participate in these events when possible but never show up empty handed. Our major function at these events is to help the many newly awakened Americans have a sound perspective of the problem and recruit them into The JBS. We do this by distributing our fine material and scheduling follow-up events when possible. |
