From the South

Planning activities, date activating them, and working out the details and time lines for each segment’s completion means a greater chance for success.

Coordinators in the South have been putting their chapter members to work with a methodical plan employing members and chapters to get the Restoring the Rights and Dollars & Sense booklets, and the Beware Article V DVD into the hands of State Representatives and State Senators. Part of the plan includes important follow up. This process will result in more states introducing and passing the Tenth Amendment resolutions, Sound Money resolutions, and additional resolutions rescinding existing Con-Con calls. It will also lead to blocking new Con-Con calls that have been or may  soon be introduced.

All can add to the successes by working together with other groups we have been educating, or will start educating. Use the inexpensive DVDs and booklets with groups or individuals. This will always lead to non-members seeing signs of real leadership that encourages them to join our crusade. They will begin to understand that fighting on their single issue is insufficient to win the war.

Members in Oklahoma City recently conducted a leadership seminar to which they invited leaders of several other local groups. The result: They signed up many new members. Coordinator Mitch Shaw informed a Tea Party group about the Constitution with good success. Mattie Nelson organized three meetings where Coordinator Keith Dunn presented talks on the “Restoring the Rights” booklet and generated a great amount of interest in our organization. Jim Sandman spoke before a group that invited him back and he was able to start a new chapter as a result.  Other presentations were given by staff and local members before political precinct meetings, Campaign for Liberty groups, and similar patriotic gatherings. All members can assist with follow up campaigns after any of these events.

Door-to-door literature distribution that anyone can undertake can lead to opportunities to show some of our excellent DVDs (Overview, Dollars and Sense, The Real Newt Gingrich, and Beware of Article V). A Coordinator will help when interest is generated. But members can succeed in getting started with these important efforts.
