Who Do You Believe? Constituents or Gallup? PDF Print E-mail

“Nearly eight out of 10 Americans — 78% — say Congress should approve an historic bailout of the nation's financial markets, but most want lawmakers to significantly modify the Bush administration's $700 billion plan,” crowed a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll.

Gallup based its results on 1,019 adults surveyed.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of constituents across the country are emailing, faxing and calling their congressmen.

The results? Across the board, in almost any congressional district, the overwhelming majority (usually over 90%) are opposed to it.

Don’t let up. Keep the heat on your congressional representative. The media’s spin tactics get more obvious with every passing day.
