A friend of mine warned that the April 15 tea parties may be infiltrated by the left. Indeed, it would be easy to subvert the tea parties by either using them as Trojan horses to promote conservative-sounding candidates whose intent is to infiltrate, or at least compromising with the left or New World Order.

How do we defend ourselves?

First we must identify the enemy, which is not necessarily a person or group. It is just as likely to be an idea or trend. Currently there is an insidious trend for even "conservative" media and politicians to avoid mention of vital issues. By ignoring these issues, they give the left and the globalists a paved highway for implementing their agenda.

What are these issues?

United States sovereignty and illegal immigration must head the priority list. No matter how far left we go, with loss of states’ rights, socialist healthcare, gun control, same-sex marriage, abortion, euthanasia, etc., bad policies can still be reversed. However, amnesty for millions of outlaws and the absorption of the United States in a multinational government would be almost impossible to reverse.

If an amnesty policy is approved by Congress, as many as 20 million (or more) outlaws would be eligible for citizenship, many of them felons and drug dealers. Of those who emigrate for economic reasons, most fail to understand why their countries were too poor to support them in the first place.

I have met emigrants from Soviet Russia, for example, who, while praising our abundant life, think we are backward socially, failing to realize that socialist policies ruined the economy of their home country. A Brazilian lady told me she came here to escape poverty. Yet she spoke of Hillary in glowing terms. A German ESL (English as a second language) teacher I knew was thrilled she could afford a large house and admitted she couldn't have afforded a home of her own in Germany. Yet she complained constantly to her students about having to pay health insurance out of her own pocket. She wanted that for free and considered America to be a backward country because of that.

Most of the amnestied immigrants would be Mexicans. Now the Mexican Constitution says the State is responsible for the economy. Most Mexicans grow up with that idea, the implementation of which is the single greatest source of poverty in that country.

Pemex, for example, the state-owned oil company, is banned from allowing foreign companies to help explore for, drill and refine domestic oil resources. As a direct result of this policy, oil fields lie fallow for lack of advanced technology.

Tragically, the average Mexican family that emigrates to the United States to escape poverty caused by the lack of free-market principles is a lot like a family in any U.S. city that has been indoctrinated by schools and media to believe that capitalism is evil and that management is the enemy of labor. Thus, "conservatives" who say newcomers will develop such an appreciation for the American way of life, and that they'll learn to cultivate freedom, are sadly mistaken. Having a taste for fish does not make one a fisherman or a seafood chef. The voting habits of new émigrés from poor countries, along with personal experiences with them bear this out. While enjoying the fruits of what is left of our free market, they believe it must be abolished. A massive influx of people indoctrinated in this ideology could permanently tip the scales toward Marxism and ensure Democrat and/or RINO victories indefinitely – if they are not already ensured.

As for the absorption of the United States in a globalist or New World Order alliance (of the kind George W. Bush flirted with), such would no doubt start with a three-way government with Canada and Mexico, both of which are a hotbed of the nanny state mentality. The regulations (and later laws) that would inevitably ensue from such an alliance would crush whatever spirit of freedom, free enterprise, and even free speech, that might be left by the time such an alliance materializes.

A glimpse of what would happen to free speech is provided through author Mark Steyn’s treatment by the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, which barely came short of prosecuting him for writing, in a book, that Islam is incompatible with the Western way of life. Or by the heavy fines levied against Canadians who dared to suggest in public that homosexual behavior is incompatible with the Bible or carries a health risk (Seventy percent of AIDS cases in America are found in male homosexuals).

When one considers all of these things, it is amazing that conservatives have not by now recognized the danger and made the issues of sovereignty and illegal immigration paramount.

We have a chance to refocus, however, on July 4, when tea parties are again scheduled around the nation. To succeed, we the people must focus on three things: 1) purging out RINOs and re-educating fence riders (perhaps some can be persuaded to take a stand against illegal immigration); 2) reversing illegal immigration and throwing out pro-invasion politicians; 3) identifying all candidates who are liable to subvert U.S. sovereignty, particularly those associated with the CFR, Trilateral Commission, Bilderbergers, and the lesser known International Democrat Union. Of course, we must also urge people to defeat any politician who voted for the bailout.

Imagine you're on a train heading for a collapsed bridge. Some passengers say “let's move to the rear of the train." Others say “let's ignore it." A miniscule minority says: “let's stop the train." What would you choose? Focusing on education, abortion, marriage definition, and such issues is like moving to the back of the train. You'll be the last one over the precipice, but over you’ll go.

The bridge is just around the bend. The laughter is dying down. It's time to stop. It's now or never.

A little perspective, please (pt. I)
It wasn't illegal aliens who created the Federal Reserve System or the welfare/warfare state. It wasn't illegal aliens who manipulated our country into a series of unjust, criminal foreign wars. They didn't create the UN or its appendages, either. It wasn't alien "outlaws" who abolished habeas corpus, invested the presidency with dictatorial powers, or institutionalized torture. Nor do border-jumpers claim the commanding heights of cultural subversion.

These are just a handful of the public policies that have disfigured America to the point that it's almost impossible to recognize.

The people who promoted all of this were, for the most part, native-born Americans, some of them with pedigrees stretching back to the Mayflower.

While stipulating to the fact that uncontrolled immigration is a serious problem, I can't see how it is a top-tier priority, let alone THE single most important one. As Ron Paul points out, it's largely driven by economics; legal and illegal immigration from Mexico have abated now that the Fed-engineered housing boom has gone bust. And given the pervasiveness of statism in our own political culture, I'd hardly upbraid Mexicans (or immigrants from anywhere else) for their ignorance of sound economics and the principles of individual liberty. Those folks come from absolutist or socialist cultures; we have the benefit of a unique Constitutional heritage. What's OUR excuse?

Most Mexicans of my acquaintance display a healthy and commendable cynicism regarding government: They know very well that government is institutionalized theft and corruption. Few of them would fall prey to the pious pseudo-patriotism promoted in many "Christian" congregations in the U.S., in which those who kill on behalf of the Regime are garlanded with holy praise, and the practice of torture is treated almost as if it were a sacrament.

A little perspective, please (final)
How far "left" are we willing to go in choking off immigration? As the experience of (among MANY others) Pastor Steven Anderson illustrates, American citizens are already subject to unconstitutional detention, search, and violent abuse at the hands of border guards at checkpoints WELL within the borders. We could solve the problem of immigration outright if we were willing to impose a totalitarian police state and ruin the economy, but that would be just a *touch* severe, don't you think? Or would that be a good trade-off, given that this is the most important problem facing us today>

Well done Mr. Hank!
Wow! its great to hear a conservative acknowledge that focusing our attention on abortion and gay marrage is a diversion. He is so right. This country has been moving directly toward fascism ever since they crossed the criminal Rubicon of 911. It all ties together. The world banking elite are moving toward checkmate.
If we keep our eye on the big picture and fight the real battles we can still win.

The end of freedom clock continues to tick.

I can't believe that the most powerful country is worried about mexicans crossing its borders. Is like a lion worring about antz under its feet to reach its head and controling its life. don't you think?

That "ant" analogy
So long as the lion is smart and doesn't lie down on an ant hill. However if one ever did enough ants crawling up "reaching its head and controlling its life " they could very well kill him.

Bigger Picture Perspective
While the author does talk about illegal immigrants (and is he not correct that most of them do not understand free market principles, and thus help socialize the country?), there is a larger picture.

He touches upon it: those in federal elected authority who want to sell our sovereignty cheaply (if not with pernicious intent). And that includes nearly ALL of them. We can no longer listen to campaign rhetoric, but must vote OUT all those who have crossed this principle, without remorse.

When I visited Congress a few years back, the intern guide unashamedly showed us the room where the Congress meets to really work out what they will say and do on the (televised) floor (not in so many words, but it was clear enough).

And, they keep their team players in by allowing those in trouble with constituents by allowing them to vote "against" sovereignty-destroying bills when they know they still have enough other votes to pass it. In this way, one can be a "conservative" as necessary, without sinking the ship.

Awake!

To Mr. Grigg, re: Abortion
The above comment said, let me address Mr. Grigg (whom I consider a friend, by the way). Abortion is not a diversionary issue, for two reasons.

One, political: the same police state wannabes are those who use "abortion rights" to help forward their population control agenda. Secondly, it is a spiritual issue; and as history id Providentially determined (not determined by kings, etc.), our moral state as a people can actually be the _cause_ of dictatorship (read OT prophets).

Further, abortion is used for spiritual attack, by offering them as sacrifices to demonic powers. Abortion, bottom line, is the Moabite strategy for pushing back Christian influence on the culture - see 2 Kings 3:27, and think on this. It will be defeated only by a "Davidic" strategy (2 Samuel 8.2), but that time has arrived: "2009 - He'll stretch out a line." This is why "abortion" (child murder) is not an "issue." It is also why victory is certain, as we go in the right spirit to reestablish justice in the gates of our cities. (I recommend to you The Reformation Manifesto by Cindy Jacobs for immediate reading.)

I agree that illegal immigration is a top issue along with Sovereignty. The reason why we are concerned about Mexicans is that when they acquire The right to vote and vote they will, it will towards Socialism and Govt. Support !! This is the main concern in our batttle to survive our republic !!

Abortion and Immigration
I appreciate Pat Henry's comments, and value his profession of friendship. I hasten to point out that I didn't refer to abortion as a "diversionary issue"; it was Mr. Hank who characterized it thus. Institutionalized child murder is very much a central concern in the struggle to re-enthrone individual liberty protected by law.

The onslaught by government-abetted death peddlers is yet ANOTHER self-inflicted evil that has NOTHING TO DO with immigration, except perhaps in the sense that one major element of the immigration restriction movement (John Tanton and his associates) unabashedly promotes the eugenicist and anti-natalist views of the late Garret Hardin and former Colorado Governor Richard Lamm.

A little more perspective
The estimable Lew Rockwell has written a very sober and informative piece about the ongoing immigration bust -- yes, BUST -- and what it tells us about economic freedom and individual liberty in general here in the united State (spelling intentional):

http://lewrockwell.com/rockwell/end-of-immigration-issue.html

Here's a key insight:

"There has been a massive plummeting in immigration from Mexico to the United States within the last year. A quarter of a million people who would otherwise have come to the U.S. for work have decided to stay away. This is not due to enforcement. Enforcement is mostly eyewash anyway, and only gives an excuse for the federal government to spy on American business.... Now, a person might say, well, there's a silver lining in every recession and this is one. But listen: economic opportunities are universal. If you feel them and sense them, so do others outside the border and they want to be part of it. If they don't feel them and sense them, maybe it is time to wake up and realize that they don't exist as they used to."

"Usurper in Office
What has happened with the "Eligibility" clause
to be President under Article II, section I, clause 5
of OUR CONSTITUTION?
Obama/Soetoro has continued to avoid "Lawsuit's" which are still active and has refused to show any
birth certificate, medical, passport, and college record's.
In order to meet the requirement's, "BOTH" Parent's
must have been a U.S. citizen at the time of a child's birth in order to be a "natural born citizen".
Obama's father was a British subject of Kenya and
NEVER a u.s. citizen.
International & British law states that a "child"
born shall inherit the father's nationality and
citizenship.
Obama/Soetoro was also "adopted" by Lolo Soetoro and
became a Indonesian citizen in order to go to
school in Jakarta as a Muslim.
We need "sign's" and "poster's" at the Tea Parties
that will be shown on the MSMedia in the background.
All of the politician's and judge's who have allowed

We must PROTECT the whole Constitution, not just

Abortion as a second priority
Mr. Hohenapple, Mr. Henry used the term "diversionary issue"; I didn't refer to the subject at all in my initial posts.

Mr. Hank did bring up the subject in a way that suggests abortion should be considered peripheral to the matter of illegal immigration and political merger. Here's the specific excerpt:

"United States sovereignty and illegal immigration *must head the priority list.* No matter how far left we go, with loss of states’ rights, socialist healthcare, gun control, same-sex marriage, *abortion,* euthanasia, etc., bad policies can still be reversed. However, amnesty for millions of outlaws and the absorption of the United States in a multinational government would be almost impossible to reverse."
