lisa jackson EPAThe U.S. government, through the Environmental Protection Agency, is declaring open season on life itself. Boiled down to its most fundamental essence, that's the real meaning of the EPA's declaration of "greenhouse gases" as a danger to public health.

The chief greenhouse gas to be regulated by the EPA as a public danger is carbon dioxide. "The accumulation of CO2 … in the atmosphere can lead to hotter, longer heat waves that threaten the health of the sick, the poor, the elderly…" warned EPA administrator Lisa P. Jackson during the press conference announcing the agency's findings.

That should send a chill up and down the spine of every living person. CO2 is simply a byproduct of life itself. When a bureaucrat like Jackson announces that the government is going to regulate CO2, the intent is to say that life itself will be regulated. Even worse, when bureaucrats say that CO2 is a threat to public health, what they are really saying is that life itself is a threat.

This is not alarmism, but simply a fact. President Obama has pledged to reduce emissions by 83 percent below 2005 levels by 2050, proving, columnist George Will says, that he understands "the histrionics required in climate-change debates." But lets take Obama at his word. What would it mean to reduce carbon emissions that much?

George Will spells it out in his column for the Washington Post. If the reduction target holds up, he writes:

2050 emissions will equal those in 1910, when there were 92 million Americans. But there will be 420 million Americans in 2050, so Obama's promise means that per capita emissions then will be about what they were in 1875. That. Will. Not. Happen.

He's right: with that level of population, an 83 percent reduction below 2005 levels is impossible, unless we get rid of some hundreds of millions of useless breathers.

This is not to say that the developed nations of the world under UN guided climate policies are going to engage in outright genocide to reduce the world's population. It won't happen that way. It will happen through slow strangulation. And the EPA announcement points the way forward.

Governments around the world will begin enacting increasingly restrictive policies regulating economic behavior. This will lead to scarcity — scarcity of fuels, scarcity of food, scarcity of housing, scarcity of medicine. Increasing scarcity will be reflected in rising prices. Even Obama has said so, admitting that under his plan for a cap and trade system, "electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."

Electricity rates aren't the only things that will skyrocket. Agriculture will become much more costly so food prices will dramatically increase. Carbon based fuels, which power our entire industrial economy, will become much, much more expensive, and that will impact much more than just the cost of gasoline at the pump. Every manufactured product, from toasters to airplanes, will increase in price.

Again, the increasing prices that we can expect are a measure of increasing scarcity. At the bottom line, this has a human impact. Along with rising prices and increasing scarcity will come increasing poverty, worldwide. Developing nations with already high rates of poverty will be hardest hit. With decreased access to food, housing, water and the other necessities of life, there will come increasing rates of malnourishment and disease. People will die.

No matter, to global warming extremists, they're just useless breathers anyway.

Ebenezer Scrooge, EPA spokesman
"Man," said the Ghost, "if man you be in heart, not adamant, forbear that wicked cant until you have discovered What the surplus is, and Where it is. Will you decide what men shall live, what men shall die? It may be, that in the sight of Heaven, you are more worthless and less fit to live than millions like this poor man's child. Oh God! To hear the Insect on the leaf pronouncing on the too much life among his hungry brothers in the dust."

Egregious Policy Addendums (emphasis on dums)
It is time to abolish the EPA. I already wrote my Congressmen about it, on the announcement yesterday that they would not wait for a "Cap and Trade" bill, but take unilateral executive action against "emissions."

Sure we all want clean air. So let's clean it first of meddlesome bureaucrats and their costly, energy-wasting offices that consume so much of our GDP without producing anything (except more uselessly-eaten capital).

I'm tired of writing Congress every other day. If we elected Constitution Party candidates, we would have the EPA, the FDA (their target: nutritional supplements, while they run cover for harmful food additives) and other regulatory agencies abolished. Obey the Constitution! Simple.(See their platform.) And watch inventions, technologies, and productivity soar.

Why not plant more trees?
Don't they consume carbon dioxide and produce oxygen? Oops, there I go again, foolishly thinking of something that might actually be beneficial. Overpopulation? That's nothing but hogwash. I think God knows how to operate and maintain what He created, don't you? The one place where population reduction would be a good thing is also a place which produces lots and lots of poison gas: Washington D.C.

Our planet is equipped to physically support about 50 billion people. We are no where near capacity. It's our behavior towards one another that causes problems. Scriptures tell us there will be an end to the world...world meaning people, not the earth. The only global warming on the horizon is when the wicked discover their pants are on fire prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Global Warming and CO2 a dangerous pollutant is BS
Overpopulation is not currently an issue an it will not even be a blip on the radar for a long time to come. In fact it may never even be an issue if the third world was allowed to develop. Some nations in Europe currently have negative growth curves and the US population growth regarding babies being born here by US citizens, not the influx of immigrants (illegal or legal) and their babies born here, is starting to level off. When people are educated and have access to higher education they tend to put off children until a later age and usually have less children all together. The acceleration of world population growth has already leveled off. Furthermore, we are not too far away from potentially colonizing the Moon and Mars, maybe no less than 100 years. This global warming is just a bunch of BS and if some think its good because it will help population control then you simply immoral. Who are you to tell another individual if they have the right to have children or eat? This is just a bunch or propaganda aimed at making the rich richer. It must be stopped. According to the EPA we all are emitting dangerous pollutants every time we exhale. Anything wrong with that?

Too much CO2? How?
We as a species are not releasing too much co2, we simply can't make too much co2. If there is an abundance of it nature will produce plants life to consume it. Plants thrive on a co2 rich environment and consume it at a rate that defies any production rate.
Our exhaust from vehicles is the major problem but it's not co2 it's co or carbon monoxide, from petro-chem industries. What we need to do is begin running our vehicles on either electricity and or alcohol and or hydrogen types of fuel which we have the technology to do at present, but our government won't allow us to use because it will interfere with the established oil and electric companies. This is what we need to write our representatives about, changing the whole system. Or let us simply do it ourselves when the crash comes and they won't provide it for us.

CO2 a dangerous gas? Did these fascists not learn the carbon cycle in 7th grade? Or has the NEA finally dumbed down America to the point that people actually believe this BS

Simple solution:
Remember the plastic bags San.Fran. banned? I have a new use for them. What these climate change fascists need to do is place these bags over their heads in unison, tie them around their necks real tight for about 30 min. to eliminate their CO2 output and vuala problem solved.
They will no longer be emitting what they deem "poisonous gas" or spreading any more hot air for the rest of the world to deal with.

We no longer have checks and balances in gov't. It's a true dictatorship. Congress is bought by the elite and the establishment use Obama like the perfect puppet he is. CO2 a poisonous gas. It's the cycle of life. Do you see what they are doing right in front of our faces. They know the American people are too flippin stupid and gullible. They are saying the CO2 is dangerous when it is one of the cycles of life. This is where we have come because we have been so ignorant as people for too too long. Enough is enough!
