Legislation
The House is expected to begin debate today on H.R. 910, a bill that would prohibit the EPA Administrator from regulating greenhouse gases to address climate change.
Strategies for the defeat of recently proposed pro-life legislation by those in favor of ending the life of preborn babies are on the Internet, courtesy of several “women’s rights” organizations and other leftist liberal websites.
Courtesy of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, a cheap, reliable, and comforting 130-year-old invention would begin to be phased out in 2012 through 2014.
The animosity shown the Second Amendment by the media and many of our elected representatives sworn to uphold the Constitution and the Bill of Rights is never so apparent as when a particularly heinous criminal shooting occurs. These tragedies are immediately seized upon as a springboard for introducing more gun control measures, which are usually circumventions of the Second Amendment in intent and practice, and therefore unconstitutional.

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) has introduced H.R. 140, “To amend section 301 of the Immigration and Nationality Act to clarify those classes of individuals born in the United States who are nationals and citizens of the United States at birth.” Upon introduction, it was immediately referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary.
As of today, at least one dozen states have already introduced bills to nullify the entire ObamaCare law!
The John Birch Society (JBS) has just released a new 12-minute video on YouTube, "Beware of Con-Cons: State Legislators Warn Against a Constitutional Convention."
This is the bill we've been waiting for. The "Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act," H.R. 2, repeals the "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act," Public Law 111-148, and the "Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010," Public Law 111-152, known collectively as ObamaCare. That's it. No replacement, period. It just repeals the entire ObamaCare law.
http://www.jbs.org/images/stories/Jan_11/newcongressmen112r.001.jpg Everyone is wondering what kinds of legislation will be the focus of the 112th Congress. The shift of power from the Democrats to the Republicans in the House, with the tea parties still highly energized and engaged in the political process, is bound to have some effect.
The current lame duck session of Congress is as busy, or busier, than anticipated. In fact, it looks exactly the same as a regular session with a routine daily schedule plus the added urgency and pressures of a somewhat desperate Democratic majority needing to get pet legislation passed before a new Congress is sworn in.
