Recruiting - From the Northeast- April 2010

From the Northeast
by Lionel Terzi,
Regional Field Director

The Northeastern states have been busy already this year with video showings, “Freedom Index” distribution at town hall meetings, and group-recruiting presentations. We are gearing up for the May 1 Council Dinner in Parsippany, New Jersey, and have already sold tickets to many.

Nine locations across our territory have scheduled Mr. McManus for his speech, “Stealing the American Dream.” We expect solid turnouts to hear this very important message.

Have you joined the JBS Community on our JBS.org website yet? If not, try it.  Contact your Coordinator for help if you need assistance in navigating around the site. He will be happy to assist you. Start your own JBS Community group and you will start finding more friends and prospects through this new outreach tool.

Do you like to distribute JBS literature? Is it fun for you? How about trying that at a nationally recognized NASCAR racetrack? That’s what Chapter Leader Joe Tropp and several of our Maryland and Delaware members and friends did in the recent past. And the reception they received was very encouraging. New Jersey Section Leader Dave Giordano reports that distribution of several hundred copies the “Freedom Index” door-to-door has been a great success with many recipients expressing great interest after seeing this congressional “report card” for the first time. One result is that another conservative group is planning to distribute hundreds of copies to its members and contacts.

We are very excited about all the requests we are receiving to address other patriot groups looking for direction and a plan. Once again, JBS is there to help and we are spreading our influence and building the Society.

In other parts of this Bulletin, you will learn about JBS participation at CPAC. One of our JBS online community members volunteered to help at the booth, met some of the staff, returned home, and sent in her membership application. Now she wants to start a chapter in the Baltimore area. Great! We need more of that.
