JBS: Official sponsor for LPAC 2011
Campaign for Liberty invites JBS to participate in conference

APPLETON, WIS. – August 15, 2011 – The John Birch Society (JBS) will be participating in Liberty Political Action Conference (LPAC) 2011 September 15-17th in Reno, Nevada.

The John Birch Society will be an official sponsor and exhibitor at the event.

Art Thompson, CEO of The John Birch Society, says, “It is a pleasure to be participating in the LPAC event. The organizers have brought together a sizable number of constitutionally-minded individuals and groups. The potential for the future of this event, in both numbers and influence are tremendous.”

In addition to Thompson's regular presentations in the Nevada 10 room, he will be a main speaker on Saturday's Silver Stage regarding healthcare legislation.

As a sponsor, The John Birch Society will have a double booth, a room for JBS presentations and gatherings, and have a significant presence throughout the event.  “Our investment in this show will take the place of CPAC,” said Bill Hahn, JBS public relations manager.  The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) recently told JBS it would not be eligible for a formal role at the show, but that individual members would be welcome.

Campaign for Liberty has stated the following about the conference: “The Liberty Political Action Conference will play host to freedom activists from across the country.  LPAC will feature conservative, libertarian, constitutional, and free market organizations, activists, and businesses.  We’ll also bring together tons of exciting personalities and leaders in the liberty movement to discuss sound money, foreign policy, civil liberties, and the Constitutional hot button issues facing the liberty movement today.”

Founded in 1958 and headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin, The John Birch Society is dedicated to restoring and preserving freedom under the U.S. Constitution.  Members come from all walks of life and are active throughout the 50 states on local, regional and national issues.  United by a strong belief in personal freedom and limited government, members have a strong sense of duty, and their educational efforts have played a continuous and pivotal role in exposing legislation and policies that threaten the independence of our country and the freedom of American citizens.  Visit JBS.org for more information.
