FreedomProject Education incorporates new technology for students and professors

FreedomProject Education will launch Blackboard Collaborate during winter session.

APPLETON, WIS. – October 14, 2011 – Nearly through its initial session, FreedomProject Education announces that Blackboard Collaborate, the newest technology in the education industry, will be part of the 6th-12th grade winter curriculum starting December 5th.

Blackboard Collaborate gives students and professors an opportunity to interact through web conferencing.  This new technology allows students and teachers the opportunity to interact with one another from any location across the globe.

"Blackboard Collaborate will give us the ability to share our curriculum and the expert instruction of our highly qualified and principled instructors with students and parents in a virtual classroom setting,” Mary Black, curriculum director states.

After completion of its successful first semester, FreedomProject Education will continue a full curriculum into its winter session with 130 adjunct professors, including over 60 that hold doctorates, in all more than 110 with advanced degrees.

Winter session registration begins Tuesday, October 18th.  FreedomProject Education will hold an online open house on Thursday, October 20th from 6-7:30pm (CST) that will allow prospective students and parents the opportunity to talk with teachers live.  Media are welcome to participate.

FreedomProject Education uses an interactive approach to teaching, providing lessons through Moodle, an online learning management system.  A block style learning approach helps students focus on a limited number of subjects.

FreedomProject’s online curriculum is designed to deliver a classical education in the tradition of America’s Founders.

Academic Director, Dr. Duke Pesta says, "The initial curiosity about our online school has turned into a pioneering educational opportunity for students all across the country. With each passing week, our staff, instructors, and students become more comfortable learning with us as we reinvigorate education and revive the spirit that founded this nation."
