John Birch Society Announces Sponsorship of Tenth Amendment Center’s Nullify Now! Tour
APPLETON, WIS.—September 1, 2010—The John Birch Society and The New American magazine announce their proud sponsorship of the Tenth Amendment Center’s “Nullify Now! Tour,” a multi-city event tour focused on education and activism on a state level to say no to unconstitutional federal laws. The tour starts in Fort Worth, Texas, Saturday, September 4.
As a “national sponsor” The John Birch Society will have a speaker at each stop in the tour as well as a table with educational nullification materials. Oklahoma State Representative Charles Key will be speaking for The John Birch Society at the Fort Worth event. He will discuss what he has helped accomplish in Oklahoma regarding protecting constituents from the new healthcare law referred to as ObamaCare. He will also discuss The John Birch Society’s new campaign, “Choose Freedom, Stop ObamaCare.”
Other stops may be added.
“We are very happy to be working with the Tenth Amendment Center,” said Bill Hahn, JBS Public Relations Manager. “We share the same passion of educating as many people as we can regarding the Constitutional tool of nullification. States have the right and the obligation to nullify unconstitutional laws.”
The Tenth Amendment Center is a national think tank that works to preserve and protect the principles of strictly limited government through information, education, and activism. The center serves as a forum for the study and exploration of state and individual sovereignty issues, focusing primarily on the decentralization of federal government power as required by the Constitution.
Founded in 1958 and headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin, The John Birch Society is dedicated to restoring and preserving freedom under the U.S. Constitution. Members come from all walks of life and are active throughout the 50 states on local, regional and national issues. United by a strong belief in personal freedom and limited government, members have a strong sense of duty, and their educational efforts have played a continuous and pivotal role in exposing legislation and policies that threaten the independence of our country and the freedom of American citizens.
