With the second indictment of President Donald J. Trump, the Deep State has made clear that anyone working against its agenda of tyranny gets smeared, censored, cancelled, and worse.
Political parties want you to think that the real battle being waged for your freedom is taking place in politics, so their solution is to merely get their party in power. However, both parties have demonstrated over time that neither holds a monopoly on freedom or tyranny. The actual battle isn’t Republican vs. Democrat. Rather, it’s freedom vs. tyranny. This is why we publish voting scorecards of every state legislator and member of Congress reflecting their adherence to the U.S. Constitution.
The John Birch Society Predicted This Tyranny
If you’ve read The Blue Book of The John Birch Society (the two-day presentation Mr. Robert Welch gave at the founding meeting in 1958), then you know that Mr. Welch had predicted that the scope and size of government would substantially increase as the Constitution is ignored, while shedding American sovereignty to various international organizations, especially the United Nations. His many predictions that were filmed in 1974 at a JBS Council Dinner have largely come true. See them here.
We’ve seen over time that when government is allowed to operate and grow outside of its constitutional limitations, the precarious balance of freedom gives way to tyranny. Since its feeble beginnings, the federal government has grown into a behemoth that has greatly clamped down on the free expression of rights, the truth, and the overall freedom of Americans.
Unfortunately, there are huge ramifications to allowing the federal government to become a bloated bureaucratic steady state. One is that it has made a path for many initiatives from international organizations to be implemented in communities across this country, another of Mr. Welch’s predictions.
2023 is Not a Good Year for Woke Companies
The United Nations’ drive for sustainable development—based on the predicate that the world will run out of natural resources due to man’s irresponsible consumption—has been given a board room seat in many of the top corporations. Boards have been turned into activists and show their solidarity with politically correct issues through the measurement of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) scores. The higher the score, the higher a company’s adherence to “woke” causes.
Yet, average Americans have had enough of being forced to accept “woke” issues. The last several months have seen great consumer pushbacks to such corporations as Anheuser-Busch, Target, Disney, and Ben & Jerry’s, as their sales decline from boycotts.
As we’ve pointed out in The New American, Blackrock (with ties to the World Economic Forum and the Council on Foreign Relations) is a large enabler for ESG, and it’s the United Nations that has given organized traction to a radical environmental agenda that eventually made ESG possible. Introduced in 1992 as Agenda 21, this UN program will eventually reorient all of society, with every decision or choice to be made taking sustainability into consideration—giving governments at all levels substantial control over the people.

Agenda 21: The Earth Summit Strategy to Save Our Planet
Agenda 21 and 2030 are being used right now to pry loose property rights from unsuspecting farmers, ranchers, and other land owners—and not just in distant lands, but here in the American Midwest.
Midwest Farmers’ Property Rights Under Attack
Meet Jared Bossly, a fourth-generation farmer in South Dakota. He is among 80 landowners being sued through eminent domain proceedings by Summit Carbon Solutions, a private company that wants to put in a carbon capture pipeline across his property. He and many of his neighbors told the company no, and then several weeks later surveyors trespassed onto his property when he wasn’t there and later left when his wife put him on speaker from her phone, so he could tell them to leave until the sheriff was there to accompany them.
He said that the surveyors made up a false claim of him threatening their lives, and then they asked a judge for a restraining order.
While the judge didn’t grant a restraining order, he did make Jared stay 100 feet away while the surveyors were allowed to access his land to conduct a survey. However, this was no ordinary survey as you might picture. The “survey” included drilling equipment and accompanying trucks to drive across Jared’s property destroying just-planted tree seedlings and trampling and killing portions of growing crops, just so they could drill 90-feet underground in at least two locations.
Unfortunately, in South Dakota, eminent domain by pipeline companies is legal. According to S.D. Codified Laws § 49-7-13, “Any pipeline companies owning a pipeline which is a common carrier as defined by § 49-7-11 may exercise the right of eminent domain in acquiring right-of-way as prescribed by statute.”
As landowners rightly point out, these pipeline companies are privately owned and carbon capture pipelines are not delivering public goods, like natural resources, electricity, nor are they public projects like roads or bridges.
Jared described eminent domain as a bully tactic from officials on power trips. He said he had to basically be on “lockdown” and “sit by and watch it all happen.” He said, that there are so many emotions going through you watching that happen right in front of your house. They went through four gates and drove through the full feed yard. “They say one thing, and they do the other.”
Can you imagine being forced to sit by helpless and watch this happen on your property? What happened to property rights being an American virtue?
President John Adams once said, “The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, anarchy and tyranny commence.”
Members in Action
The legislatures in both Iowa and South Dakota took steps this year to strengthen property rights by limiting when eminent domain can be invoked, which would have ruled out the carbon capture pipelines as they are designated as carrying hazardous waste. It sailed through both Houses of Representatives in Iowa and South Dakota, but it was stopped in committee in the Senate in both states. Here’s the shocker. Republicans were responsible for killing the proposed legislative packages in both states!
Again, it’s another example of the battle not being won through political parties. What has happened is that industry has partnered with the government in advancing “climate change solutions.” A cottage industry has sprung up around federal subsidies and tax credits to not only pick winners and losers in the marketplace, but to also advance the United Nations’ radical Agenda 2030 plan.
But some of the Republicans in both states that are opposed to strengthening private property rights have received donations from the pipeline company, as well as Iowa congressman, leaving constituents wondering about the loyalty of these elected officials to those that voted them in.
And this is increasingly being experienced throughout the Farm Belt. When members in Tennessee approached the legislature to inform them about the war on farmers, they were told there is no war on farmers in Tennessee as Republicans have a super-majority! Well, don’t we wish we could believe that?
The Oil & Gas Journal reported, “To achieve widespread deployment of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), the US would need tens of thousands of additional miles of CO2 pipeline.”
That doesn’t sound like any state will get skipped. And let’s not forget that the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act budgets $375 billion over 10 years. All to help America cut greenhouse emissions by 40% by 2030. Tens of billions of this is slated for pipelines.
This Agenda 2030 battle may not get the deserved traction it needs if The John Birch Society also ignored it. But we’ve done more than just report on this un-American activity, and the press is starting to take notice.
Liberal Press Notes JBS Activity in Protecting Property Rights
The liberal Dakota Free Press wrote an article titled, “Birchy, But Right” and went on to say, “I can’t let [Senator] Novstrup’s and [JBS National Council Member Tom] DeWeese’s and [Landowners for Eminent Domain Reform] LEDR’s Birchy nutbirdiness … stop me from recognizing that they and South Dakota’s hard right are harder and more visibly [sic] than any left-wing groups to protect South Dakota property rights from the predations of the mainstream Republicans behind the Summit Carbon Solutions land grab.” (Emphasis added.)
Through our Choose Freedom, Stop Agenda 21/2030 project, we launched Stop the War on Farmers and staff and members went to the aid of property owners that were in immediate peril in Iowa, and North and South Dakota. Now there’s movement toward pipelines in Minnesota, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Indiana.
Exposing the Agenda 2030 Conspiracy
As we mentioned last time, staff and members of The John Birch Society are exposing this unconstitutional land grab as part of the Agenda 21/2030 and are helping landowners organize and educate their elected officials. Other groups are helping navigate the process as well, yet The John Birch Society is the only one to expose the root cause. A solution without addressing the root cause will not last. Problems from the conspiracy will not be solved without addressing the conspiracy and its strategies and tactics. This is one large advantage JBS has over many others.
We’ve introduced to hundreds of affected landowners how to exercise various layers of strength that exist throughout local and state governments, including getting the state legislature to act.
South Dakota Republican Governor Kristi Noem and Iowa Republican Governor Kim Reynolds have both been accused by constituents as being AWOL from the battle. But again, the real battle isn’t political in nature. Rather, we deal with principles and frame it as freedom vs. tyranny.
In this case, if the state legislature will not act, the concept of nullification can be utilized by local officials to protect the property rights of owners. Town and county boards can act to protect these rights by introducing moratoriums and various property setbacks, as well as having the sheriff act to keep trespassers off the properties of those that do not want to sell easements.
But none of this happens without organization!
When members and supporters work together on a concerted agenda, movement begins to happen—sometimes slow at first, but it builds, generating a head of steam, applying pressure to those that are needed to act (usually elected officials). There are no silver bullets or quick fix solutions.
Pressure is building in the Midwest, and it’s The John Birch Society that brings the lasting solutions, along with the leadership and the tools. More and more are beginning to understand what’s behind the carbon capture pipelines thanks to JBS.
The New American has been staying on top of this interviewing embattled farmers, reporting from supportive rallies, and livestreaming the speeches. Their content provides for great reach-out tools that members can share with others to help educate the electorate and elected officials. JBS staff and chapter leaders have undertaken many initiatives to pull together partnering groups and hold strategic planning meetings and related rallies to employ successful tactics and to generate more support for the battle.
Con-Con Advocates Stopped Cold!
And thanks to the activity of JBS members, the head of steam generated in 2023 to stop a Constitutional Convention stopped the movement cold, as no new states have been added to the list of states applying to Congress for a convention. Oregon went one step further by rescinding all its convention applications, placing the movement one state behind!
But this success comes at a price. Convention leadership is getting very desperate. Convention of States (COS) has raised millions of dollars with nothing to show for it, so they have resorted to personal attacks and are on the defensive — publishing new tools to try to counter our main points, specifically of using nullification based on Article VI and the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

In 2016, COS held a mock convention to help gain more supporters by showing them that a convention could be safe — never mind that it was packed with delegates that were supporters already. Yet, the amendments that were proposed would have done little to no good. In many instances, they ended up making things much worse as they would have made constitutional some of the unconstitutional things that the federal government does.
COS plans to do another convention this August, and we look forward to once again scrutinizing and exposing the large differences between a mock convention and the only real constitutional convention that ran away and had rewritten the Articles of Confederation in 1787. We’ll create more tools to help legislators wake up to this effort.
This year more state legislators bravely stepped forward to tell their experiences of discovering fraudulent petitions that were delivered to them by COS. While COS claims millions of supporters, legislators are finding many that are fake. South Dakota State Senator David Johnson told The New American that he decided to blow the whistle on them when he received a petition delivered via email that was signed by his wife — even though she never did!

We could share so much more with you — about all the activities and photos that are shared with staff — of members proudly Birching in their communities at events and at their state capitol. Of the hope that is brought about when a prospect catches the vision that there is something he can do. That he can be part of a solution that is bringing together patriotic Americans from all across the country, who are following in the very footsteps of the Founding Fathers. Of all the workshops that continue to teach the principles of the Constitution.
But look around. There is so much more that needs to be done! We must ramp up our action projects to stop the federal takeover of local police — to stop the federal takeover of elections — to rid the country of the Federal Reserve and to stop the upcoming central bank digital currency—to get our children and grandchildren out of public education — to get us out of the United Nations — and to expose and stop the Conspiracy that is rushing this great nation headlong into world government under a New World Order.
We are so thankful for Mr. Welch’s game plan that we do not need to work on stopping all evil. Rather, we follow a precise agenda that is strategically geared to knock down the main supporting beams of the Conspiracy’s house of cards. For when we do that, we watch it tumble down and finally restore this Republic to be the great beacon of hope and freedom the Founding Fathers envisioned it could be.
And millions of Americans are indebted to those that are making this possible. Thank you for your efforts to actively Birch. Without you and your efforts, we would not have made the progress we have on our mission this last year.
