The National Dream University, a branch of UCLA set up to educate illegal aliens and turn them into immigration activists, won’t open its doors, thanks to pressure from a lawmaker who didn’t think it was such a bright idea.

An illegal alien who became a citizen and multi-millionaire grocery tycoon is in trouble with “activists” because he is using the federal E-Verify program to check whether prospective employees are illegal aliens.

 In a wide-ranging interview with Alex Pareene of Salon.com, Libertarian Party candidate for president Gary Johnson said the Republican Party's platform plank on immigration "borders on racist." The former border-state governor spoke of a radical "disconnect" between the rhetoric and reality on illegal immigration.

The Obama administration is fudging the numbers in claims it is deporting “record” numbers of illegal aliens, the U.S. House Judiciary Committee reported last week.

The committee, led by Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas), accused the administration of inflating the numbers by including illegal aliens apprehended at the border in the total of those deported.

Billions of dollars in federal tax credits are flowing to illegal immigrants thanks to a loophole in the tax code that allows them to reap government dollars without authorization to work. A report issued last year by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration estimated claims of $4.2 billion in 2010.

 Ten Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents Thursday filed suit against Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and ICE Director John Morton, claiming selective enforcement of the nation's immigration laws are forcing them to break the law and ignore their duty in the deportation of Illegal aliens, Fox News reported.

 The Republican Party’s platform for 2012 is taking shape this week, and according to National Journal, it calls for a guest-worker program, a plank that mirrors one adopted by Republicans in Texas early this summer.  The platform is also pro-life and anti-homosexual marriage, which has angered the pro-abortion left.

 Terrence J. "TJ" Bonner, retired president of the National Border Patrol Council (the union representing U.S. Border Patrol Agents), was indicted for fraud by a federal grand jury in San Diego late last week. Meanwhile, many other instances of fraud and misconduct by Department of Homeland Security agents and leaders are ignored. Some feel Bonner's treatment was due to his criticism of immigration policy.


Nearly 150,000 illegal-alien criminals are in American jails or on American streets, a U.S. congressman says. And those roaming American cities and towns are there thanks to a U.S. Supreme Court decision that forbids the government from indefinitely incarcerating the criminals if the United States cannot deport them after their sentences are over.
