This voting index is currently published twice a year in The New American magazine. Each index scores all 535 members of Congress on 10 key votes on a scale of 0% to 100%. The more the Representatives and Senators adhere to the Constitution in their votes, the higher their scores on this index.
Larry O. Waters was born in the very pleasant sounding town of Gulf Hammock, Florida. After a two-year period of service in the Army, and graduating from Harding College (in Searcy, Arkansas) with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, Larry settled in the Dallas, Texas area. There he pursued a career as a salesman and a partner in a small printing company.
Joining the John Birch Society in 1961, Larry soon became very actively involved as a chairman for various local JBS committees. Deciding to formalize his passion for Birching into full-time employment, he joined the staff in 1967 as a coordinator.
Larry has since worked as a Major Coordinator, a Regional Director, and Director of Field Activities. At present, Larry serves as Vice President.
With children long grown and gone, Larry and his wife Yvonne still call Texas home.
