The Department of Homeland Security will extend the president’s order to halt deportation of illegals to homosexuals if they have “family ties,” the agency announced last week. The move to protect what are now called “LGBT” (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) immigrants came after seven dozen Democrats went to bat for these illegals.

The Tennessee Democratic Party has officially rejected its own nominee, Mark Clayton, for the upcoming U.S. Senate race against incumbent Republican Sen. Bob Corker, citing the liberty-minded Democrat candidate’s affiliation with a pro-life group that defends the traditional definition of marriage. But despite a wave of vicious attacks by far-left ideologues, Clayton, who promised to strictly respect the Constitution, is already finding some tepid support for his candidacy among conservatives, Tea Party activists, and libertarians across the country — especially on social media.

A group of black pastors has launched a campaign to challenge black voters to rethink their support for President Barack Obama, saying that his endorsement of same-sex "marriage" places him at odds with America’s Judeo-Christian foundations and with the values embraced by a majority of black Americans.

Evident in Olympic rule application is something I wrote about mere days ago: the triumph of Muslim absolutism over Western relativism. Whether Muslims are right or wrong in a given instance, they’re sure of themselves in every instance. They don’t capitulate, waver, or apologize. They’re brazen. And Westerners? They’re craven. Even the values they profess most — brotherhood, tolerance, sensitivity, open-mindedness, antipathy for discrimination — are situational. Like athletes, these values are subject to expulsion when inconvenient.

When Dan Cathy, CEO of the fabulously successful fast-food chain Chick-fil-A, told Online Baptist Press that he supports the “traditional” family, he ignited a firestorm of controversy. For this, he was vilified by left-leaning ideologues, including the mayors of several of America’s largest cities.

Liberals are no strangers to using children to relate political messages, as the 2008 videos of kids singing for and paying homage to Obama prove. And conservatives certainly complained — about brainwashing and using children. Yet I don’t remember any of them wishing that they could snuff the life out of the youngsters. Heck, I can’t even recall any who wished death upon the adults manipulating the kids. That’s a brand of bloodthirsty rage confined, seemingly, to the Left.

Priests for Life, a Catholic organization that has been on the front lines of the pro-life cause for the past 20 years, announced August 1 that it will not comply with the Health and Human Services (HHS) contraception mandate which went into effect on that date. The mandate, which is already the target of over a score of lawsuits filed by nearly 60 faith-based organizations, requires that all non-church employers provide their employees with health insurance that includes free access to sterilization and contraception — including abortion-inducing drugs.

The new Catholic archbishop of San Francisco is an orthodox shepherd on sexual matters and was the main prince of the Church who pushed the passage of California’s Proposition 8, the state referendum that defined marriage as a bond between one man and one woman.

Had homosexual activists wanted to do a big favor to Chick-fil-A, they couldn’t have picked a better strategy than the mass boycott they called to protest comments the restaurant chain’s president, Dan Cathy, made a couple of weeks ago in favor of Christian values and traditional marriage. To counter the attack, former Arkansas Gov. and radio talk show host Mike Huckabee called on Americans to show their appreciation for Cathy and the company by making August 1 a special Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.

Mike Huckabee invited his Facebook followers to celebrate "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" on Wednesday, August 1st and one million of them said they would "eat mor chikin."
