A United Nations conference aimed at ridding the world of the "scourge" of privately-owned weapons ended recently and the report of the meeting reveals that despite the failure of the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), the globalists’ plan to abolish the Second Amendment remains intact in the form of the “Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat, and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects” (PoA).

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon told a meeting of UN delegates that the international community has a responsibility to protect the people of Syria from atrocities. At , the United Nations (UN) reaffirmed its ultimate goal of eradicating national sovereignty. The favorite weapon at the moment is the principle known as Responsibility to Protect (R2P).

The secretive conferences where delegates are hammering out the details of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) are effectively rewriting the law for the United States, particularly in the area of intellectual property.

The TPP is an international trade treaty currently being negotiated behind closed doors by nine nations located along the Pacific Rim (Mexico and Canada have been invited to join and would bring the total number of participants to 11) The 14th round of talks will be held on September 6-15 in Leesburg, Virginia.

The official GOP platform approved at the Republican National Convention in Tampa included tough language rejecting the United Nations “sustainability” scheme known as Agenda 21 for the threat it represents to national sovereignty, drawing praise from conservative and Tea Party leaders across the country. The Republican Party document also rejected any form of UN global taxes and slammed a wide range of the international body’s controversial programs.

As the GOP assembles in Tampa for the Republican National Convention, delegates have adopted a plank for the platform rejecting the imposition of United Nations taxes on Americans or UN control over the global monetary system, pointing out that the scandal-plagued global body has proven itself wasteful and incompetent. Activists celebrated the move, but some national GOP officials said it should have gone further, noting that the UN is absolutely determined to infringe on U.S. sovereignty.

Conservative-leaning Texas Judge Tom Head warned this week that Obama’s re-election could spark mass unrest and possibly even a civil war — especially if the president decided to cede even more U.S. sovereignty to the United Nations or call in UN troops to deal with a potential American uprising. But county officials are preparing accordingly, he added, touting a local tax increase to prepare for various “contingencies.”

Opponents and liberty-minded activists are up in arms over the fact that the genocidal mass-murderer ruling over Sudan, Omar al-Bashir, is set to be elected to the United Nations Human Rights Council. Observers said the move will further discredit an institution that has already become a laughing stock around the world for appointing so many communist and Islamic dictatorships as supposed guardians of human rights.

Mitt Romney and possible running mate Marco Rubio disagree on a few points with regard to Syria, particularly in regard to arming the rebel forces, but both men believe America should look to the UN for cues on Syrian policy.

Even as the United Nations and human rights groups warn that the Western-backed jihadist rebels are committing war crimes and slaughtering Christians in Syria, reports indicate that President Obama has signed a secret order purporting to authorize even more “covert” U.S. government support to the armed opposition. Multiple establishment press outlets reported the latest development, citing official sources indicating that the administration likely released the news deliberately.

The month-long United Nations conference to draw up a global Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) failed to achieve consensus after the United States, Russia, and China requested more time to consider a draft treaty, according to the United Nations.
