Although the House is in recess, the Senate is still in session this week. Let’s strongly let our Senators know that ObamaCare needs to be repealed but not replaced! The Senate can still rework the bill before each chamber takes a final vote, so essentially the Affordable Care Act could still be eliminated. ObamaCare and other federal healthcare programs are highly unconstitutional as the authority for Congress to provide healthcare is not in the Constitution. So we look to the 9th and 10th amendments for answers, which allow the states and the people to decide healthcare issues. We must bring back the free market and phase out government-run systems of healthcare.
It’s not too late to eliminate the House's "repeal and replace" bill! Contact your Senators immediately to support S. 106, the ObamaCare Repeal Act, introduced by Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas). This bill has very similar wording to H.R. 1718 that was introduced by Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) allowing the American people more power to decide what healthcare choice they want. The S. 106 bill is a genuine ObamaCare repeal bill. It states “This bill repeals the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 and restores provisions of law amended by those Acts, effective January 1, 2018.”
This legislation provides a good start to extracting government out of healthcare, but much more repealing is needed. Let’s do what we can to educate others to build a groundswell of support for liberty. A great resource is the March 20th issue of The New American Magazine titled HEALTHCARE: Which Fix Should We Follow? Use this to educate others on all of the available solutions. Using this resouce, they should be able to come to the right solution on their own. If they don’t have enough time to go through the whole magazine, the Healthcare Solutions pamphlet indicates what concerned Americans can do to fix healthcare constitutionally in one quick snapshot. Also available is the DVD ObamaCare 101, where The John Birch Society CEO Art Thompson identifies a pattern of government broken promises, revealing that if something is too good to be true, then it probably is.
