With the overloaded Internet, movies on-demand, social media noise, mainstream media distractions, and unlimited number of apps, Americans’ attention span is getting stretched thin. No wonder it seems like no one is educated on substantial topics. An average citizen will spout out stats from the NFL, quotes from the newest Netflix movies, and what a celebrity tweeted and posted, but fundamentals such as the United States founding documents, Bill of Rights, and accurate history are all getting lost in the hustle and bustle.
This lack of time committed to valuable education, would accurately fulfill the rumor that “no one reads anymore,” yet surprisingly it isn’t true. According to the Pew Research Center
, a survey found that “Americans who have read a book in the last 12 months (73%) has remained largely unchanged since 2012.” Knowing this, all that is left to do is getting the right books into the right hands. And what better way to do that than to offer a free Kindle download?
The John Birch Society is excited to announce that it will be doing just that, having your educational materials more readily accessible. Launching on Tuesday, August 1, “Republics and Democracies” will be available on the Kindle through Amazon! And for a limited time, August 2st through the 6th, you, friends, and family can download the booklet for free! All we’re asking in return is for you to rate and review the booklet. To download the book:
1. Go to Amazon.com (Register for an account if you don’t already have one)
2. Type in “Republics and Democracies” Kindle book in the search bar.
3. Click Buy now with 1-Click.
Downloading this early, (especially when it’s free!) will help get the word out to more people by pushing the booklet up in the search rankings. With an uneducated electorate and disinterested public, it is imperative that we share the knowledge that we live in a republic and not a democracy.
Since day one, The John Birch Society has stressed the importance of continuous education because a solution is only as good as the understanding of the problem. By administering educational literature, Birchers have been ahead of the curve, just because they have been more educated than your average citizen. Encourage others to pick up the beneficial habit of reading and help us push “Republics & Democracies” up in the search rankings by submitting a review.
