As the magical, joyful jitter of Christmas Eve sets upon us, we encourage all to remember the reason for the season! The holidays give us a chance to spend time with family, encourage the spirit of generosity, and give us the opportunity to share love and kindness. We get the fortuity to celebrate another year full of freedoms and many blessings. This December, let us also revitalize the man who made The John Birch Society possible. His audacity, passion, and love of country are an inspiration to many.
Historically, the United Nations has persistently lauded “human rights” as a top priority and the answer to many worldly problems. Early this past week, December 10-11, at a key UN migration summit in Marrakesh, Morocco, the United Nations lived up to its reputation. The Intergovernmental Conference to “Adopt the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration” promoted the idea of migrating from one country to the next as a basic human right, regardless of individual countries’ laws and regulations.
On November 30, 2018, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) was officially signed by U.S. President Donald Trump, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Thankfully it is not yet in full force as the NAFTA replacement still needs to be approved by the legislative bodies of all three countries before becoming officially binding. This means it becomes even more crucial to educate America on the USMCA's glaring shortcomings and prevent congressional approval!
The Democrats are taking control of the House of Representatives this upcoming legislative session, and it seems their agenda is already increasingly radical. Previously, they have expressed their animosity towards gun-ownership and have a plan to stop mass shootings. So now they are rolling up their sleeves and formulating tougher gun control laws to be implemented in 2019. But where will it stop: The elimination of the Second Amendment? A few amendments? The entire Constitution?
Since 1787, the U.S. Constitution has protected our God-given individual freedoms, such as freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, the right to a fair trial, freedom of religion, and provided the fundamentals of the America we love. Unfortunately, there have been many attacks to destroy this document: from inside our own government, outside groups such as the United Nations, and those pushing for a constitutional convention (Con-Con).
The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which has been proposed as a replacement for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), has many terrible similarities to a trade deal that the Obama administration negotiated with eleven other Pacific Rim nations: the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). As one of his first acts in office in January 2017, President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the TPP.
The New American writer Christian Gomez has been covering the USMCA extensively and has been reporting on the dangers of it:
Mailboxes have been filled with ad campaigns, phones have been ringing off the hook, and Americans' TVs have been flooded with political advertisements. What for? The midterm congressional, state, and local elections of course! Those who want to influence the outcome of the election in order to bring about bigger government have been doing everything in their power to increase voter turnout. But are the masses the best way to bring about an educated electorate?
Yes, that’s the plan. The goal is to dictate how much energy you use, what you eat, how much water you use, where you live, what you think, and track your every move. Shockingly, this has already been in motion and gradually progresses through the United Nations’ agencies and sustainable goals such as Agenda 2030, the World Health Organization, the International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organization, and many more. This globalist government is inevitable for every man, woman, and child unless enough brave, patriotic Americans stand up to this atrocity.
