Documenting the “March for Our Lives” Lies
The April 23, 2018 Issue of The New American Now Available
APPLETON, WIS. – April 24, 2018 – The newest issue of The New American documents the “March for Our Lives” movement and the lies that have been spread by the mainstream media to advance a gun control agenda. This issue also discusses the debate of gun control and why it is not the answer to limit the gun violence in the United States.
The cover story, written by Alex Newman, discusses the March for Our Lives movement which started after the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. The two most important words that have been used to describe this march against guns are “student led.” Newman presents evidence that indicates those two words could not be further from the truth in describing this march. From the “student led” walkout of classes to the “March for Our Lives” rallies held across the nation, most notably in Washington D.C., are examples of this movement being AstroTurf and truly being organized by far-left groups, including MoveOn and funded by individuals such as George Soros.
An accompanying article exposes the truth behind guns and gun violence. The article provides statistics and examples of why gun control is not the answer and how it has fared in other countries that have tried to control gun ownership.
In the “History-Past and Perspective” section of the issue, a link is established between more guns and less genocide. History is replete with examples of oppressive regimes disarming their citizens and subsequently committing genocide against them. The article suggests that if there are more guns in the hands of citizens to protect themselves and their rights, then there will be fewer examples of governments taking advantage of their people.
The New American magazine is published twice a month in print and daily online. The editorial point of view is guided by support of the U.S. Constitution and the principles upon which the Constitution is based. Specifically, The New American wants to restore and retain the values and vision that the founders put in the Constitution — limited government under the Constitution, the freedoms the Constitution protects, and the personal responsibility a free people must exercise to stay free.
