As Americans increasingly demand their states to reopen and respect their God-given rights, as protected in the Constitution and Bill of Rights, local, state, and federal government officials look to tracking Americans via “contact tracing.” This contact tracing will be used to provide evidence for prolonging state shutdowns.
In the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) – former co-founder of the Illinois Black Panther Party and longtime associate of the Communist Party USA – introduced H.R. 6666, the COVID-19 Testing, Reaching, And Contacting Everyone (TRACE) Act.
This bill would authorize $100 billion dollars for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to award grants to “eligible entities” – such as federally qualified health centers, university hospitals and clinics, nonprofit organizations, and high schools – for the purpose of tracing and monitoring the contacts of individuals infected with COVID-19. The grants would also be used to support the quarantining of those contacts. This is only the beginning.
On May 6, 2020, Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) introduced the “Pandemic Response and Opportunity Through National Service Act” (S. 3624) in the U.S. Senate. The Coon’s bill would expand the federal government’s national service programs by creating 750,000 new jobs, including 300,000 public health positions to assist state governments in carrying out contact tracing.
Former Obama White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel famously said of the 2008 Recession, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. I mean, it’s an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.” Globalists in government and Big Tech, likewise, aren’t letting this pandemic crisis go to waste.
The contagious nature of SARS‑CoV‑2, which stands for “severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2” and which is the specific strain of coronavirus that causes COVID-19, was used as a pretext for global pandemonium after its initial outbreak in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-controlled city of Wuhan, in Hubei province.
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO), the global health body of the United Nations system, declared SARS‑CoV‑2 a pandemic. Five days later, on March 16, 2020, the Imperial College COVID-19 Response Team, in London, led by British epidemiologist Neil Ferguson, published a non-peer reviewed study with grossly exaggerated models predicting upwards of 2.2 million deaths in the U.S. from COVID-19.
Ferguson’s dubious study was used as the basis for Doctors Anthony Fauci, Debra Birx, and members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force to issue their guidelines on “social distancing” in order to “flatten the curve” of the projected deaths. Governors across the country then followed by issuing authoritarian and unconstitutional “stay-at-home” orders, putting millions of Americans out of work.
Citizens itching for a return to normalcy, the ways things were before the COVID-19 pandemic, are now being told that the path to reopening is by “contact tracing,” the government tracking the movements of people who’ve come into contact with individuals reported to have tested positive for the coronavirus, along with the power of forcing such people to quarantine, regardless of any symptoms.
Fear from the COVID-19 pandemic is leading many to beg governments around the world and the country to take away their rights and curtail their freedoms in the name of safety. Such individuals may gladly accept being forced to carry digital certificates of immunity or allowing the government to trace their every movement via a smartphone app or Bluetooth signal.
Most likely the proposed greatly expanded contact tracing program will be used to prevent a return to normalcy anytime soon.
What’s needed is a nonpartisan, cost benefit analysis of the current state shutdowns. Such an analysis would reveal that the negative outcomes of these shutdowns on the physical and mental health of Americans and on the American economy dwarfs the negative outcomes from coronavirus infections of lifting the shutdowns.
And, such Orwellian contact tracing measures are a gross violation of the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution, in the Bill of Rights, which unequivocally guarantees: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated…”
We ought not to let the Deep State, the government and Big Tech, compel Americans into surrendering their God-given rights and freedoms under any circumstances. Returning to “normal,” does not and should never entail granting the government a massive overreach of power at the expense of liberty.
Please phone, email, tweet and video message your U.S. representative, senators, and President Trump and urge them to stop and oppose H.R. 6666, S. 3624, and any other efforts greatly expanding “contact tracing.”
